About the Event
On 28 March 2026, the Tygerberg Subdistrict Health Forum proudly recognised Ms. Damaris Kiewiets for 30 years of outstanding dedication and service to community health, leadership, and social development. Ms. Kiewiets is the Community Liaison Officer at UWC’s Community Engagement Unit (CEU).
Ms. Kiewiets’ continued commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities, strengthening partnerships, and advocating for health and human rights is truly inspiring. This award celebrates not only her leadership, but her passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
The Community Engagement Unit (CEU) Acting Director, Dr. Samantha van Schalkwyk, and CEU staff celebrate this special recognition with her and wish Ms. Kiewiets continued success, strength, and impact as she continues to serve our communities with purpose.
