Community Engagement Database 2020 Pearl September-Brown Purpose of the online CE Database: The UWC Community Engagement (CE) database was launched in December 2014. It highlights information relating to CE projects in faculties, schools, and support units at the university. It contains projects across the UWC campus and offers access to over one hundred UWC CE projects. The database is accessible to everyone both on/off campus. My CEU Details CEU Director Prof Priscilla Daniels Priscilla Daniels is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Community Engagement Unit at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) since 2010. Her key responsibilities are facilitating and coordinating community engagement activities at the UWC that enhances and promotes the scholarship of engagement through equitable partnership and citizenry to promote sustainable communities. My CEU Details Dr Samantha van Schalkwyk Senior Researcher Dr. Samantha van Schalkwyk is a feminist scholar and activist working in the field of gender-based violence and transforming patriarchal trauma. She is a Senior Researcher at the Community Engagement Unit (CEU) at the University of the Western Cape, where she is leading processes related to the institutionalisation of the scholarship of engagement for societal impact (SoE-SI) and driving community-engaged research. She integrates critical feminist research with impactful community-based interventions and training.
